Copenhagen based, Irish artist, Olga Baunbæk Reilly, paints large-scale, narrative-based paintings, with dreamlike figures in landscapes and seascapes, in oils and handmade paint on canvas.

Thematically, her work deals with transient borders, fake memories, absurd realities and the underlying violence in everyday life. The clear theatrical element to her paintings, is inspired by her time working with The Royal Danish Theatre and Danish TV, including the popular crime series ‘The Killing’.

Olga studied Fine Art in Ireland, then lived and worked in Tokyo, San Francisco and New York before settling in Copenhagen. Exhibitions include solo shows in New York and Copenhagen.

Studio visits by appointment.
